Mission
"The Los Santos Fire Department preserves life and property, promotes public safety and fosters economic growth through a commitment to prevention, preparedness, response and recovery as an all risk life safety response provider. To provide for the safety and health of the Southern San Andreas communities and our visitors through professional emergency response, fire prevention and public education. The mission of the Los Santos fire department is to protect the lives and property of the people of Los Santos and Red County from fires, natural disasters, and hazardous materials incidents; to save lives by providing emergency medical services; to prevent fires through prevention and education programs; and to provide a work environment that values health, wellness and cultural diversity and is free of harassment and discrimination."
Foundation
The first form of the Los Santos Fire Department was founded in 1820 and was known as the Los Santos County Forestry Department during its founding years. The Los Santos County Board of Supervisors enlisted the most know figure of the founding team, Christian J. Wilkins to lead the new department and directed him to establish a program for fire prevention and firefighting in the county. He succeeded in opening twenty fire stations, which served and continue to serve, towns and the unincorporated areas of Los Santos County.
The state of Los Santos acquired its first "hook and ladder" truck for fire extinguishing. It proved to be too defective and was lacking to the needs of the city. It was sold to the city of Las Venturas. In 1856, another "hook and ladder" truck was purchased, serving in the city until 1881. In 1888, a third fire company was formed by the residents in the neighbourhood of Santa Maria Beach. It was given the name of "Hose No. 1". East Los Santos formed a hose company named "East Los Santos Hose No.2" five years later. The final volunteer company was formed in the fall of 1889 in the modern downtown area. This company was called "Downtown Hose No.3". All of these companies remained in service until February 10th, 1898, when the present paid fire department came into existence.

Thomas Payne
Fire Chief
Dear fellows, friends and citizens of Los Santos
My name is Thomas Payne and I am your newly appointed Fire Chief by the fire commisioner, after the previous Fire Chief Ms.Rae honorably retired from her duties on October, 2016.
Firstly, I would like to personally thank Ms.Rae for her service in the department and I would like to express how much I liked working with this wonderful and courageous lady when
I was a new member of the Commanding team at that period. I wish to former Chief Hailey Rae a happy retirement and a peaceful rest and assure her that I will continue our mission.
I joined the Los Santos Fire Department at a young age in order to protect and help my fellow citizens from dangerous situations and served for more than fifteen years ever since.
Personally, I have never seen being a firefighter as a profession only, but also viewed it as a way of life to be one of Los Santos' bravest.
From this point, I am planning to use my experience and knowledge in order to take the right decisions for the fire department's greater good. Changes have been made, and there are
many more coming. I would like to thank each and every one of my colleagues for supporting me all these years, as much as the fire comission and the city for giving me the
opportunity to proudly serve as the Fire Chief of Los Santos.
Amanda Milsap
Firefighter I
My name is Amanda Milsap and I am 26 years old. I have the rank of Firefighter I in the Los Santos Fire Department. I have studied medicine at San Fierro University of San Andreas.
A few months before my examination on the university I sent in an application to the LSFD, and got accepted. As a trainee and probationary firefighter, I have been through different
situations, it is kind of hard job physically but I have always dreamed about helping people. My duties as a Firefighter I, is to patrol as a regular ambulance, and be ready to assist
other governmental department of Los Santos, as well the citizens if they are in trouble. I have some duties as a firefighter too, in these situations. I have to be ready with a truck and my equipment
for calls, so we can respond as quick as possible.
