52 Hoover Gangster Crips, also known by abbreviation as 52HGC, Five Deuce or "5-Deuce" Hoover Gangster Crips are a predominantly, but not exclusively, African-American street gang located in The Bahamas community inbetween Crenshaw and Glen Park, basically being the border between two neighborhoods. They are connected to both the Gangster alliance and the Hoover alliance and formed during the late 1970s. Historically the Five Deuce Hoovers are falling under the alliance of "The Hoovers" along with 49 Jefferson Hoover Crips, 86 Seville Hoover Locs, 75 Macc World Hoovers, and 94 Dime Hoover Crips. Throughout the 1980s, E/S 52 Hoover Gangster Crips, along with the 74 Hoover Criminals Gang, were key players in the drug trade business, operating drug houses across East Los Santos, which authorities estimated were earning them as much as $500,000 to $1,000,000 annually at the time. The 52 Hoovers are the only Hoover Gangster sub-set still identifying themselves as "Crips", retaining their Gangster Crip identity by maintaining their close relationship with the Eight Tray Gangster Crips, 51 Trouble Gangster Crips (known as the "51-2" or "51-Deuce" alliance) and other adjacent Tray (3x) gangs who share common enemies with The Hoovers.
52 Hoover Gangster Crips are split into two cliques, Five Deuce Crowns and Hoovers Park, both located in the same area but have different purposes. Hoovers Park is mostly used for hood defense because it had a strategic use for years, meanwhile, Five Deuce Crowns serves as the main store where the drugs are being sold and the members are mostly active.
